PublicTxt

Plain-text public knowledge, kept in Git repositories and published for free.

PublicTxt is an experiment in using Git repositories as an interoperability layer and online storage for public and community knowledge: notes, wikis, blogs and bookmarks as plain Markdown, hosted on free Git services, published as static websites, and — the aim — selectively aggregated from other people’s repositories.

This site is itself a PublicTxt repository (publictxt/publictext), built by PublicTxt-Pages.
